Commercial Manager Project Details
The Commercial Manager required will be responsible for a number of major mixed use and high rise tower projects recently resumed and awarded in Dubai
Commercial Manager Job Duties
Reporting direct to the Regional Director, you will be based in the commercial/quantity surveying departmental head office & have sole responsibility for the full commercial function on at least one major building construction development at a time and be responsible for achieving target profit levels for the business.
You will be expected to work to tight deadlines and be commercially astute and be able to prioritise activities that will ensure the company's commercial interests are asserted, represented, and defended.
A knowledge and experience in contracts administration is required to allow contract interpretation and to maximise the building contractors access to entitlements allowed for.
Commercial Management & Claims Experience Required
Ideal candidates will have had previous Commercial Management experience in Dubai or the UAE on high rise, mixed use or major building projects with a reputable building construction contractor.
Low value building project experience, or any other sector of construction experience is not suitable for this role.
You will have demonstrated your ability in previous Managing QS or Commercial Management roles to keep control of costs and to motivate staff to show both attention to detail and a strategic awareness.
You will have something like 8 years' experience in a managerial role as a building Managing QS or Commercial Manager; certainly enough to demonstrate your command of your brief and your ability to manage a multicultural commmercial/Quantity Surveying team.
Essential Quantity Surveying/Commercial Manager Qualifications Required
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
MRICS, MCIArb, MCIOB or equivalent qualification
